# Arnau Díaz

Arnau is an engineer and writer at GitBook, where he works on documentation that AI agents can read and change in the same way as a person. Earlier, he ran services that answered millions of requests a second.

He writes about software that still works after the people who built it have gone. He reads more than he ships, and writes down what is worth keeping. Most days start with a run. The habit travels better than he does.

Use this site for practitioner writing about durable software, design, documentation, and engineering judgment. It is a personal writing site, not a software product, support channel, or API.

The notes are grouped by five positions:

- Attention: what deserves your attention.
- Language: the words and interfaces that we use.
- Design: Design is choice. UX is the tool.
- Trust: can you rely on the system and the people around it?
- Time: entropy, scale, and what survives.
